The centric relation (CR) of occlusion is the most important of these records. Body posture of the patient is one of the factors influencing the CR. In this study, we investigated the influence of patient's body position in CR recording by extra-oral tracing method. Materials & Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 18 edentulous Patients were randomly selected. After patient education, the extra-oral tracing device was attached to patient's dentures. Then the Gothic arch tracing was accomplished in supine, semi supine and upright position. The CR achieved by bimanual manipulation method was also recorded. Then the horizontal, anterior-posterior and straight distances of each point to point achieved by Dawson method, were calculated. Data were statistically analyzed using the one-way ANOVA and t-test. The level of significance was set at 95%. Results: In edentulous subjects, there was no significant difference between horizontal distances of points registered in various body positions and the point registered in Dawson method, but with a view to ant-post and direct distances, the points registered in supine position were significantly nearer to that of Dawson method rather than the points registered in upright position. Conclusion: In edentulous subjects, and in comparison to upright position, the CR obtained in supine position by extraoral tracing method, was significantly similar to bimanual manipulation.}, keywords = {Patient position,recording the centric relation of occlusion,tracing the Gothic arch,edentulous patients}, title_fa = {بررسی اثر موقعیت بیمار بر ثبت رابطه مرکزی به روش تریسینگ قوس گوتیک در بیماران بی دندان}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: یکی از مراحل مهم درمان های پروتزی دهان، ثبت رابطه مرکزی فکین می باشد. روش های متنوع و زیادی جهت ثبت آن وجود دارد و عوامل زیادی بر آن تاثیرگذارند که یکی از آنها موقعیت بدن بیمار است. این مطالعه به بررسی تاثیر موقعیت بدن بیمار در ثبت رابطه مرکزی فکین به روش تریسینگ خارج دهانی پرداخته است. مواد و روش ها: در این مطالعه مقطعی 18 فرد بی دندان انتخاب و پس از توجیه و آموزش بیماران، ابزار تریسینگ دراین بیماران به دنچرهای ایشان متصل شدند. سپس تریسینگ قوس گوتیک در سه موقعیت قرارگیری بیمار بر روی یونیت دندانپزشکی یعنی عمودی، نیمه خوابیده و خوابیده  با روش دودستی انجام شد. سپس میزان فاصله افقی، قدامی – خلفی و مستقیم نقاط سه گانه نسبت به نقطه به دست آمده در روش داوسون محاسبه شدند و از آزمون های ANOVA و t و همبستگی پیرسن در سطح 05/0 جهت بررسی نتایج استفاده گردید. یافته ها: در افراد بی دندان، فاصله افقی نقاط ثبت شده در موقعیت های مختلف بدن تا نقطه به دست آمده با روش داوسون تفاوت معنی داری نداشتند، ولی از نظر قدامی-خلفی و فاصله مستقیم، نقاط ثبت شده در حالت خوابیده (Supine)، نسبت به نقاط ثبت شده در حالت عمودی (Upright)، به طور معنی داری نزدیکتر به روش داوسون بودند. نتیجه گیری: با توجه به محدودیت های این مطالعه در افراد بی دندان، در مقایسه با موقعیت Upright، رابطه مرکزی  به دست آمده با روش تریسینگ خارج دهانی در حالت Supine با روش دو دستی شباهت بیشتری داشت.}, keywords_fa = {موقعیت بیمار,ثبت رابطه مرکزی,تریسینگ قوس گوتیک,بیماران بی دندان}, url = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_1301.html}, eprint = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_1301_19776e0fdc751b59827b43ac1ff15c39.pdf} }
