This study was designed to find out the impact of out-patient and in-patient with general anesthesia procedures on the fear level alterations in children. Materials & Methods: In this cross sectional-descriptive study, two groups of 50 participants (3-6 year old) were selected. The patients in the first group were treated in outpatient service while the other group received the treatment in inpatient service under general anesthesia. The parents were asked to fill out the CFSS-DS (Children’s Fear Survey Schedule-Dental Subscale) questionnaire, before and after the procedure to assess the fear level of their children. The data were analyzed by independent t-test, paired t-test and chi-square test using SPSS 16 (α=0.05). Results: In the outpatient group, mean fear scores, before and after the procedure were 26.3±19.2 and 28.4±24.4 respectively. The difference was not significant. In inpatient treated group with general anesthesia, mean fear scores, were 37.9±24.8 and 40.6±28.7 before and after the procedure, respectively. The difference was not significant. The fear scores in outpatient group were significantly lower than those of the inpatient group, both before and after the procedure (P}, keywords = {Anxiety,Dentistry,fear,General anesthesia,Pediatric Dentistry}, title_fa = {مقایسه میزان ترس و اضطراب کودکان 6-3 ساله متعاقب در‌مان‌های دندانپزشکی سرپایی و تحت بیهوشی عمومی در شهر اصفهان}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: امروزه توجه به کنترل ترس دردندانپزشکی کودکان افزایش یافته است. این پژوهش جهت بررسی تغییرات ترس متعاقب درمان‏های دندانپزشکی سرپایی و تحت بیهوشی عمومی کودکان طراحی شد. مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه مقطعی توصیفی، دو گروه 50 تایی کودک 6-3 ساله انتخاب شدند. یکی از این گروه‏ها تحت درمان سرپایی و گروه دیگر تحت بیهوشی عمومی قرار گرفت. پرسشنامه CFSS-DS (Children’s Fear Survey Schedule – Dental Subscale) برای ارزیابی ترس کودکان استفاده شد و قبل از درمان و پس از آن توسط والدین تکمیل گردید. جهت تحلیل داده‏ها از آزمون‏های آماری t مستقل، t زوجی و مجذور کای و نرم افزار SPSS با ویرایش 16 استفاده شد. سطح معنی‏داری 05/0 در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: میانگین نمره ترس قبل از شروع درمان سرپایی 2/19±3/26 و 5-4 هفته پس از درمان 4/24±4/28 به دست آمد، که این تفاوت معنی‏دار نبود. میانگین نمره ترس قبل از شروع درمان بیهوشی عمومی 8/24±9/37 و 5-4 هفته پس از درمان 7/28±6/40 به دست آمد که این تفاوت معنی‏دار نبود. تفاوت میانگین نمره ترس قبل از درمان سرپایی و قبل از بیهوشی عمومی معنی‏دار بود (01/0=P). همچنین این تفاوت میانگین بعد از درمان سرپایی و بعد از بیهوشی عمومی معنی‏دار بود (02/0=P). نتیجه گیری: استفاده از بیهوشی عمومی به عنوان یک روش درمانی، باعث افزایش ترس در افراد مورد مطالعه حاضر نشد.}, keywords_fa = {اضطراب,دندانپزشکی,ترس,بیهوشی عمومی,دندانپزشکی کودکان}, url = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_2134.html}, eprint = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_2134_65b2c389743fc3929f809a5044f61bdb.pdf} }
