In cervical lesion malocclusion, premature contacts and occlusal parafunctions may act as an etiological factor and cause chronic headache. To determine the correlation between chronic headaches and cervical lesions of teeth, this study was carried out. Materials & Methods: In this case-control study, 120 patients were examined (60 case and 60 control). The case group (30 male and 30 female) had chronic headache and Control group (30 male and 30 female) were without any chronic headache. The cervical lesions of the teeth and the occlusion classification were recorded for all the patients. The patients were examined in two age range (22-39 years old and 40-56 years old). Data were analyzed using chi square and Fisher's exact tests. Results: In case and control groups, headache was 60% and 23.3% frequent respectively. The difference was statistically significant (P=0.0001) but there was not any significant difference in headache frequency between males and females (P=0.451). In case group, the prevalence of class I, II and III occlusion was 38/3%, 40% and 21.7% respectively and in control group, the class I, II and II occlusion was 50%, 30%, 20% prevalent respectively. The difference was not significant (P=0.402). In case group, cervical lesion was more prevalent in upper jaw (16.7%) compared with lower jaw (8.3%). The difference was significant (P=0.0001). Conclusion: More cervical lesions were observed in patients with chronic headache.}, keywords = {Chronic headache,cervical lesion,Malocclusion}, title_fa = {تعیین ارتباط بین سردردهای مزمن با ضایعات سرویکالی بدون پوسیدگی دندان ها}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: بسیاری از مردم از سردردهای مزمن رنج می‏برند این سردردها ممکن است سال‏ها طول بکشد و مکرراً عود کنند. اکلوژن غیرطبیعی، تماس‏های پیشرس و پارافانکشن‏های اکلوزالی می توانند سبب ضایعات سرویکالی بدون پوسیدگی و همچنین سردردهای مزمن شوند. لذا هدف از این مطالعه بررسی ارتباط بین سردردهای مزمن و ضایعات سرویکالی بدون پوسیدگی دندان‏ها بود. مواد و روش‏ها: در این مطالعه مورد- شاهدی در مجموع تعداد 120 نفر مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. گروه مورد شامل 60 بیمار مبتلا به سردرد مزمن (30 مرد و 30 زن) و گروه شاهد شامل60 بیمار (30 مرد و 30 زن) بدون سردرد مزمن بودند. بیماران در دو محدده سنی (29-22 سال و  56-40 سال، بررسی شدند. سپس هر دو گروه از نظر وجود ضایعات سرویکالی بدون پوسیدگی و وضعیت اکلوژن مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. داده‏ها بوسیله آزمون‏های آماری Chi-square و آزمون دقیق فیشر (Fishers' exact test) مورد آنالیز قرار گرفتند. یافته‏ها: در گروه مورد 60% افراد و در گروه شاهد 3/23%، دارای ضایعات سرویکالی بودند (0001/0P=). در جنس مونث در 45% و در جنس مذکر در 3/38 % افراد ضایعه مشاهده شد که اختلاف معنی‏داری (451/0=P) وجود نداشت. از لحاظ وضعیت اکلوژن در گروه مورد، 3/38% اکلوژن کلاس I و 40% اکلوژن کلاس II و 7/21% اکلوژن کلاس III داشتند و در گروه شاهد 50% اکلوژن کلاس I و 30% اکلوژن کلاس II و 20% اکلوژن کلاس III داشتند که اختلاف معنی‏داری از این لحاظ بین دو گروه وجود نداشت (402/0=P). در گروه سردرد ضایعه سرویکالی به طور معنی‏داری در فک بالا بیشتر از فک پایین بود. این مقادیر در فک بالا 7/16% و در فک پایین 3/8% بود (0001/0=P). نتیجه گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که ضایعات سرویکالی در بیماران دارای سردرد مزمن بیشتر از بیماران بدون سردرد بود.}, keywords_fa = {سردرد مزمن,ضایعات سرویکالی بدون پوسیدگی,مال اکلوژن}, url = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_1257.html}, eprint = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_1257_b85118fa5084c65800bc3081ad40ee5a.pdf} }
