The psychological-emotional factors should be considered as predisposing factors. However, the association between psychiatric disorders and RAS has not been fully investigated in Iranian population. The purpose of this study was to determine the type and frequency of psychological disorders in patients with aphthous ulceration. Materials & Methods: Thirty five subjects of 50 patients suffering from RAS referred to oral medicine department of Mashhad dental school, were enrolled for this study. Demographic data and medical history as well as the number and type of the recurrent ulcers were obtained. The records of SCL90 questionnaire and interviews were analyzed by psychiatrist. Data obtained by personality evaluation and also the frequency of psychopathologic disease according to age, sex and duration of ulcers were described in tables and charts. Results: 65.7% of 35 subjects were female; the average age range was 21-30 years. 74.3% of patients had psychiatric disorders and the others were normal. The most common psychiatric disorder was concurrent minor depression and anxiety. Psychiatric disorders were most common among women. Conclusion: The current study revealed that majority of patients with aphthous ulcers have some kinds of psychiatric disorders especially anxiety, depression and obsession compulsion. The results of this study proposed that all the medical staff  should consider psychological disorders as etiologic factors for aphthous ulcers during their work up and treatment.}, keywords = {Aphtous,Psychiatric disorder,stress}, title_fa = {بررسی روانشناختی بیماران با زخم‌های عود کننده آفتی در مراجعین به بخش بیماری‌های دهان دانشکده دندانپزشکی مشهد-ایران در طی سال های 86-1385}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: زخم‌های آفتی عود کننده یکی از شایعترین بیماری‌های دردناکی هستند که حفره دهان را تحت تاثیر قرار می‌دهند. عوامل روحی-روانی همیشه به عنوان عوامل مستعد کننده آن مدنظر می‌باشند. اگرچه ارتباط بین اختلالات روانپزشکی و آفت کمتر به طور کامل در جوامع ایرانی مورد برسی قرار گرفته است. هدف از این تحقیق تعیین نوع و فراوانی اختلالات روانپزشکی در افراد مبتلا به آفت می‏باشد. مواد و روش‌ها: 35 بیمار که به بخش بیماری‌های دهان دانشکدة دندانپزشکی مشهد ارجاع داده شده بودند وارد این مطالعه گردیدند. یکسری اطلاعات نظیر اطلاعات فردی، تاریخچه و نیز تعداد و نوع زخم عود کننده از بیماران کسب شد. سپس به وسیله پرسش‌نامة SCL90 و مصاحبه روانپزشکی مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. اطلاعات به دست آمده توسط ارزیابی شخصیتی افراد و همچنین فراوانی اختلالات روانپزشکی بر حسب سن، جنس، سابقة ابتلا و ... به وسیلة جداول و نمودارها توصیف گردید. یافته‏ها: از 35 بیمار مبتلا به آفت %7/65، زن و بیشتر بیماران در بازه سنی 30-21 سال بودند. همچنین 3/74% بیماران، مبتلا به نوعی از اختلالات روانپزشکی بوده و بقیه از این نظر طبیعی محسوب گردیدند.در این میان وقوع هم‌زمان اضطراب و افسردگی خفیف، شایع ترین اختلالات روانپزشکی در افراد مورد مطالعه بود که البته به طور شایع تر در خانم‌ها وجود داشت. نتیجه‌گیری: این مطالعه نشان می‌‌دهد که اغلب بیماران مبتلا به آفت، دارای نوعی از اختلالات روانپزشکی به خصوص اضطراب، افسردگی و وسواس می‌باشند. نتایج حاصل از این تحقیق بیانگر این مسئله است که گروه پزشکی مسئول درمان آفت باید به برطرف کردن اختلالات روانی به عنوان یکی از عوامل اتیولوژیک بروز آفت در هنگام درمان توجه کنند.}, keywords_fa = {آفت,اختلالات روانپزشکی,فشار روانی}, url = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_1189.html}, eprint = {https://jmds.mums.ac.ir/article_1189_6a0bf40ee0d68a51e5a5510a34a726a2.pdf} }
